In fact, the formula contains the difference between real transverse and longitudinal rotation, multiplied by an angle, displacements of the center of mass of the wheel set. If the direction of movement of the wheel set does not coincide with the track axis, the deformation of the contacting fibers of the wheel and the rail occurs in the direction of movement of the center of each wheel. However, the formula for calculating the transverse creep, in contrast to the longitudinal creep, is in no way connected with the contact between the wheel and the rail. Two physically justified variants of calculating the transverse creep are proposed, which can lead to nonlinear differential equations describing the plane motion of a wheel set or a bogie. Keywords: railway, rail, wheel, contact spot, actual displacement, creep, track axis, modeling, projection.

The authors justify their approach by arguing that the importance of cryptography in terms of transfer of hidden data i s obvious, however, being cryptographic, coded information maintains potential threat with the mere existence of an encrypted message, that is, an indication that it is necessary to apply cryptanalysis. With the help of steganography, mathematical methods are constructed that deprive the carrier of the potential threat of these prompts. The article proposes to transmit data encoded into a QR code, pre-masking it. In particular, for reliability of restoring the «original», it is proposed to solve the same problem by different methods through iteration using linear systems, the Radon transform, the boundary problem for the Poisson equation, and beyond this, methods based on probability theory. The advantages of this option include the possibility of using modern computer tools and software developed in the field of various types of tomography and in mathematical physics, while slightly modifying them. Keywords: cryptography, steganography, quick response code, information security, Radon transform, Poisson equation, iterative methods.

The main aspects of transport accessibility (accessibility of territories, objects of transport infrastructure, vehicles, transportation services) are identified. Qualitative characteristics that should be reflected in the standards of transport service are established. The definition of «accessibility of public urban transport services» is proposed as property of a city’s transport system to allow an unlimited range of individuals to travel and to carry permitted hand luggage and baggage in accordance with the terms of a public transportation contract for a passenger and with the conditions of a transport license issued to a carrier, mandatory legal requirements for the carrier, as well as with standards and rules accepted and declared by the carrier. A complex comparison of the characteristics of such ships and vessels of the same classes of the traditional separate «hull - propulsion unit» configuration is presented. The possibility of the scheme is shown on the basis of a group of similar modules in the form of surface vessels with two generators of vortex pairs of a family of essentially new types of water vessels - self-contained multipurpose units with an almost unlimited period of autonomous functioning in an arbitrary non-freezing water area of the World Ocean. It is established that in all parameters, in addition to speed, vessels with vortex propulsion units have advantages over their competitors. Keywords: vortex propulsion units, water and aeronautical vessels, surface and underwater (toroidal) vessels, mass-dimensional characteristics, layout schemes, operational parameters.

The authors propose a technique for determining the strength and wear resistance of screw-nut sliding transmission based on the solution of the contact problem for its radial section, taking into account the difference in the materials of the transmission parts. The object of the study is a screw that is made of steel, and a tin bronze nut. The article presents the solution of the problem for the trapezoidal thread profile, the basic step-by-step actions in ANSYS 10 ED, as well as the parametrized code APDL, allowing to choose the optimal geometric parameters of the transmission and the mechanical parameters of its details in terms of durability. The specifics of accounting for the cost of construction of HSR are indicated. The necessity of evaluating project solutions based on the technical and economic comparison of options is substantiated. Present and prospective technical solutions and technologies for construction of HSR are given, possibilities for further transition to the overpass method of their erection are considered. A comparative analysis of the estimated cost of construction of HSR-2 Moscow-Kazan and similar analogues, whose projects are implemented in international practice, are presented. The authors argue that the high-speed railway line Moscow- Kazan is unique, technically complex, the first in Russia infrastructure project of this level. Compliance with the requirements of the terms of reference, regulatory documents and the application of best practices of foreign countries have a determining effect on the estimated cost of construction. In comparison with the railways of the common network with train speeds of up to 200 km/h, the HSR-2 project significantly exceeds the share of the main construction sites (by more than 36 %). The presented data confirm that the cost of project solutions with the increase in the speed of trains by more than 200 km/h is interdependent from the increase in the requirements for safety and continuity of movement of high-speed railway transport. The editorial board reminds that all interpretation of facts and the conclusions lay exclusively in the sphere of authors’ responsibility. Keywords: railway, high-speed highway, construction, technical and economic comparison, cost of line, cost of technical solutions, roadbed, ballastless track superstructure, HSR in the world.

High differentiation of companies in the contract logistics market makes it difficult to select a partner, which may lead to a decrease in the level of order service. The subject of the analysis is the logistics infrastructure of transport companies performing logistics services. The objective of the study is to develop indicators for assessing the logistics infrastructure of transport companies as partners of focus companies, e. g. of JSC Russian Railways, in supply chains. Following this purpose, the article proposes to introduce a process approach to assessing the logistics infrastructure of transport companies, starting by offering an approach to the notion of logistics infrastructure. It is assumed that the use of a suggested multilevel set of criteria for assessing the logistics infrastructure, simultaneously with the results of the logistics activities of partner companies, and monitoring of these data will solve the following tasks: automate the process of collecting and processing data on transport companies as participants in supply chains; reduce the time for analysis and selection of a partner in the supply chain, taking into account its infrastructure characteristics and performance in previous periods; in the future will allow to move to digitalization of the process of organizing the supply chain and increase the segment of high margin transportation, by reducing the delivery time and increasing the quality of logistics services. Study of proposed criteria was conducted at the example of Irkutsk region. Abstract
For the English full text of the article please see the attached PDF-File (English version follows Russian version).ABSTRACT Reserves for increasing the capacity of railways, among other things, are associated with the possibilities of reducing the length of block sections and reducing the spatial and temporal inter-train interval. The actual length of the block sections, determined by the inter-train interval, is considerably greater than the estimated length required for traffic safety. The similar arrangement of traffic lights leads to an underestimation of the available throughput. To bring the lengths of the block sections into line with the braking distance, it is suggested to consider the movement of trains at the yellow indication of the traffic light without reducing the speed. Reducing the braking distance, the length of the block sections and their number will increase the carrying capacity, especially in the areas of freight traffic. Satellite radionavigation systems that regulate traffic without floor traffic lights and rail chains can help to ensure the minimum required interval between trains. Keywords: railway, throughput, length of the block-section, braking distance of the train, inter-train interval, arrangement of passing traffic lights, satellite navigation.

The mathematical model is based on a dynamic transport problem with delays (DTPD). It is shown in what way an optimal transportation plan is obtained and minimization of transportation costs is ensured with the agreed production programs of supply shops and consumer shops. The improvement of the system of transportation of empty cargo flow according to the contact schedule with the help of DTPD, as the authors argue, allows to abandon the strict assignment of cars to a specific transportation, supply of empty cars is carried out according to the most favorable option for a consumer (with a minimum of transport and production costs). The cars can be delivered to the consumer for loading onto the cargo front from under any used load. The use of a dynamic transportation problem with delays as the basis of a mathematical model for development of an optimal plan for transportation of cars according to the contact schedule helps to more than halve the transport and production costs of the shops of the metallurgical plant. Keywords: dynamic transport problem with delays, internal transportation, optimization of transportation, contact schedule, metallurgical plant, railway transport.

From this point of view, finding ways for optimal and balanced development of a particular mode of transport to combine the interests of the regions already at the stage of preliminary consideration of project tasks is necessary. A model of expediency of the use of air transport in solving problems of connectivity of territories is proposed. The authors apply it to examples of connectivity between different regions and to different aircrafts. The model is also suitable for assessing the role of other modes of transport. Keywords: accessibility of territories, transport network, air transport, model of connectivity of territories.

Its most complete solution can be obtained if the problem is considered as multi-criteria. The article presents a formalized structure of criteria, allowing to optimize the interaction of objects of the logistics infrastructure of transport and warehouse services and freight road transportation. The choice of criteria for efficiency of the transport and logistics system (TLS) is based on effective indicators, which in turn are determined taking into account the indicators of the use of the means of production in certain conditions of the operating environment. The criteria system considered in the article is a decomposition of the hierarchy of TLS criteria that determine the organization of freight road transportation (FRT) and functioning of transport and storage complexes (TSC). The choice of performance criteria is based on the effective indicators of FRT and TSC, which in turn take into account the indicators of the use of means of production in the conditions of the environment of operation. Integration of FRT and TSC criteria into a single structure allows to solve multiple tasks. Keywords: transport and logistics system, road freight transportation, transport and warehouse complex, management, efficiency criteria, performance indicators, operating environment, indicators of the use of means of production.

For the English full text of the article please see the attached PDF-File (English version follows Russian version).ABSTRACT The industrial safety system has evolved on railways for decades. In new economic conditions, many of its basic principles have been preserved, but those factors have emerged that require additional scientific analysis, experimental verification, and modern technological tools. In particular, using the example of construction and maintenance of bridge structures, the situation with labor safety, injuries, and fire hazards at railway transport facilities is studied and assessed. Factorial analysis of labor safety using different criteria is shown. Additionally the results confirm the effect of fire protection on flammability of wood: the effect is manifested in a more intense charring of the surface layer, which creates a barrier to heat the underlying layers, and in a decrease in concentration of combustible gaseous products of thermal decomposition. The results of the experiments allow to determine the directions of improvement of flame retardants, including through the use of additives that maximize the degree of expansion (thermal expansion) of the coatings Keywords: railway, labor safety, bridge works, nomogram of working conditions, injuries, fire protection equipment.

For the English full text of the article please see the attached PDF-File (English version follows Russian version).ABSTRACT The data presented in the article testify to the urgent need for modernization of methods for studying horizontal geometric irregularities that provide necessary accuracy in assessment of the rail gauge state. The method for measuring the trajectory of the lateral surface of the rail head in the horizontal plane is improved. The method of converting the bending arrows from the base chord to the absolute values of the coordinates of the trajectory of the lateral surface of the rail head in the plan is modified. The influence of lateral wear of rails on traffic safety is evaluated. Particularly, the authors argue that along with the spectral methods of estimating the horizontal irregularities, it is necessary to apply the indicator of the traffic safety factor of single irregularities. According to the research the lateral undercut of the rail head in the longitudinal direction has an uneven wavy character and the results of its measurements should be used in assessing traffic safety, especially in curved sections of the track. Keywords: railway, track measuring car, horizontal irregularity, rail gauge, side wear of rails, traffic safety.

Due to the workload of some sections of the road network, drivers have to increase bus speed to fulfill the schedule, which in turn directly leads to the drivers’ labor intensity, accelerated wear of cars, affects the quality and safety of passenger transportation. The traffic intensity was studied in two directions on the main streets of the city, where public transport routes pass. Transport delays were measured at major intersections of city roads. The relationship between the level of emotional load of the driver and the level of traffic organization is shown. Recommendations for improving the situation are given, that comprise ensuring safe transportation of passengers by public transport and decreasing emotional load of drivers, by reducing transport flows on the road network, bringing them in line with passenger flows, as well as taking commuter buses outside the city routes. Keywords: public transport, driver, safety, traffic, labor intensity.

Abstract
For the English full text of the article please see the attached PDF-File (English version follows Russian version).ABSTRACT The authors consider the issues of scientific and inventive activity of Russian scientists and engineers in the field of transport in the late 19th-early 20th centuries. It is shown that the increasing role of engineering and technical education in the country was associated with challenges of industrialization, in particular, development of the transport system. Domestic science has made a great contribution to creation of a vehicle on electric propulsion - main railway, city trams, and electric vehicles. Experimental work on the use of urban rail transport were performed by F. A. Pirotsky, a theoretical rationale for transfer of direct electric current over long distances was given by D. A. Lachinov, pioneering works of I. V. Romanov on creation of a suspended monorail. The Imperial Russian Technical Society organized the first international congresses and exhibitions in the world, which presented the engines for road transport and aircraft construction.
