Development of Polymer Consoles

Abstract

The article introduces the development of new polymer consoles for high-speed transport. The results of research of electrophysical characteristics of fiberglass rods are provided. The possibility of a wider use of fiberglass based on epoxy binder is shown. Polymer consoles are tested for mechanical and electrical load, as well as the latest design of end terminals. The test was conducted including lightning impulse voltage.
