CLASSIFICATION YARDS: SORTING AND GROUPING
Abstract
The author describes general problems of local car operations at railway stations and studies specific issues of using of additional sorting installations, of a choice of optimum number of tracks. He looks forward to get a common formula of total costs of sorting, calculates some interdependencies.
