Abstract

JSC VNIKTI on the demand of JSC Russian Railways has conducted fundamental researches and tests on the factors, which could affect the empty railway cars stability if they are exposed to the risk of derailment. Large-scale trials, running dynamics inspections, computer simulation have been held, particularly to force the cars away by longitudinal forces, to test the impact of the cars on the track e t.c. The authors devote the article to the results of this study.
