IMPACT ON THE BUILDINGS DURING TUNNEL BORING

Abstract

The authors consider the problem of assessment of vibrations produced by shield machines during the construction of the shallow tunnels in urban areas. They have developed a technique to assess the peak values of velocity of soil surface spots. The authors put forward the limit values of velocity, used in foreign standards
