EFFECTS OF THRIFTY WORKS

Abstract

The authors dive their opinion on the system approach of the application of the concept of intelligent traffic control. They argue that the methods of thrifty works could become effective tools to achieve goals of intelligent traffic control concept. Giving the example of classification yard, they mention that thrifty works could result in material and human resources savings, in reduction of car detention time, in growth of capacity of station structures for larger cargo operations.
