REJECTION CRITERIA OF CAST PARTS

Abstract
The author examines the causes and patterns of situation with the growing number of fractures of bogie's side frame. The author proposes measures to improve reliability of cast parts in order to prevent possible defects and improve traffic safety. The article concerns factor analysis of reasons influencing fractures of bogie's side frames, development of rejection criteria by means of non-destructive testing of cast parts to detect internal defects in them, as well as use of radiation monitoring method in the course of diagnosing.
