ON THE ISSUE OF FATIGABILITY OF STEAM LOCOMOTIVE CREW

Abstract

It is a very long article that appeared in two issues of the journal «Railway business» in 1900 and was signed by «engineer Sh.». It can seem strange, but it still sounds quite modern. The facts and assessments, contained in the article, could easily be transposed into the context of modern railway practices, psychology of labor relations, features of industrial bureaucracy and social problems of labor process. Publication is prepared on the basis of the collection of the library of Moscow State University of Railway Engineering.
