В статье рассмотрены основные этапы развития Института экономики и финансов Российского университета транспорта. Представлены краткие сведения об изменениях статуса и структуры института, результатах его научной и педагогической деятельности, известных учёных-экономистах транспорта, работающих в институте. ИЭФ является одним из ведущих институтов, ведет подготовку специалистов, бакалавров и магистров по направлениям «Экономика», «Менеджмент», «Торговое дело», «Бизнесинформатика», «Прикладная информатика», «Лингвистика». Статья приурочена к 90-летию основания Института.

The article discusses the main stages of development of the Institute of Economics and Finance of Russian University of Transport. Brief information about changes in the status and structure of the Institute is followed by description of the results of its scientific and pedagogical activity, prominent transport economists working at the Institute. IEF is now one of the leading institutes of Russian University of Transport. IEF trains engineers, bachelors, and masters in the fields of economics, management, trade, business and applied informatics, linguistics. The article is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of foundation of the Institute.
